Google wants to occupy the Smartbook market with the help of Chrome OS.

As was expected, Google officially declares producer’s names of PC hardware, wcich are support Chrome OS. This list appears on Google Chrome Blog and now we could say that to this operation system there is feature a greate place in Google strategy.

It is significant that among the adherents of Chrome OS the most famous names in the world IT industry are the next: Hewlett-Packard, Acer, ASUS, Lenovo, Toshiba, Adobe, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments и Freescale. Now there is comes to light what kind of actions going to accept Google for vanquish the Windows.

If there is nothing changes, in nearest time we will know who becomes the first  producer of PC, where it will be Chrome OS install. As said Caroline Hsu, the representative of Google in Asia-Pacific region, american company intended to publish the list of producers PC, which are working together in this field. In her words, custom interface of Chrome OS will be shown in the end of this year, and the main difference between Android and Chrome is in the next: the first one is oriented to mobile equipment, and Chrome will be working with more important systems, such as laptop or dekstop.

Microsoft launches latest version of Internet Explorer

Software giant claims  that the world’s most popular web browser ia faster and safer than even before.

Microsoft will make the latest version of Internet Explorer, the world’s most popular web browser, available for download from 19 of March.

Microsoft claims that the Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) is faster, more user-friendly and more secure than previous versions.

Steve Ballmer, the chief executive officer of Microsoft, said: “With Internet Explorer 8, we are delivering a browser that gets people to the information they need, fast, and provides protection that no other browser can match.”

One of the key new features of IE8 is “Accelerators”, which allow surfers to perform common tasks, such as looking up an address on a map, without navigating first to a separate website. Web users can also keep an eye on their favourite sites by using “Web Slices”, which are stored in the redesigned favourites bar and flash when a site is updated.
